The 50th WFA Executive Committee Meeting


Wushu Federation of Asia has held the 50th WFA Executive Committee Meeting on March 31, 2022.

 

Mr. Fok Chun Wan, President of the Wushu Federation of Asia, expressed his gratitude to the members of the Executive Committee for their efforts in promoting wushu in the Asia region in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic. He urged them to work hard to protect themselves from the epidemic and to continue their efforts in developing wushu towards the Olympic Games.

 

During the meeting, there was discussion on the venues for the Asian Junior Wushu Championships to be held in the coming year. India, Japan and Macau were proposed to host the event. Countries and regions interested in hosting the Asian Junior Wushu Championships may submit written applications to the Secretariat, which will provide full assistance in the preparatory work.

                                                  

Apart from reporting on the work of the Secretariat and the the various committees, the meeting also discussed the future development of Asian martial arts in terms of competition, traditional martial arts tournaments and marketing.
