The 17th Asian Games was held from September 19th to October 4th, 2014 in Incheon, South Korea. The Wushu contest was attended by 29 WFA member federations with 190 athletes. The competition lasted for a total 4 days.

 

The 39th WFA Executive Committee Meeting was held on the same day prior the 15thCongress on September 19th. A total of 19 WFA member federations attended the Congress. The Congress approved the re-election of WFA Official Committee Members and the change of WFA Secretariat Office for the term 2014 - 2018:

-       Mr. Fok Chun Wan as the WFA President;

-       Mr. Kyuhei Muraoka as the WFA Vice-President;

-       Mr. Chan Weng Kit as the WFA Secretary-General. WFA Secretariat Office will be transfed from Japan to Macau.

The following WFA activities and events will be held in 2015:

-       Asian Junior Wushu Training Course in Macau around July;

-       The 8th Asian Junior Wushu Championship will be held in Inner Mongolia, China (date to be determined);

-       The 9th Asian Wushu Championship will be held in Taipei (date to be determined).
