The SJM 10th Asian Wushu Championships 2024 Comes to a Successful Conclusion
With the final whistle sounding today, the highly anticipated SJM 10th Asian Wushu Championships 2024 came to a triumphant close amidst fierce competitions and thunderous applause from the audience.
In one of the star attractions of today's events, the Women's Changquan competition, Iranian athlete Zahra KIANI captivated the judges and spectators alike with her near-perfect performance, securing the gold medal with a high score of 9.703, showcasing the formidable strength of emerging talents in Asian wushu. Macau's Cho man SOU and Japan's Nanoha KIDA followed closely behind, claiming silver and bronze respectively with marginal differences in scores.
The unique Pair Taijiquan event saw Hong Kong's Tak yan samuei HUI and Chung hei YEUNG combination triumph with an exceptional score of 9.806. Their harmonious and powerful routines fully embodied the essence and charm of taijiquan, pushing the atmosphere to its climax. Japan's Shiho SAITO and Tomohiro ARAYA, as well as Malaysia's Zi hong WONG and Sy xuan sydney CHIN, secured silver and bronze respectively, also impressing audiences with their remarkable martial arts displays.
In the Men's Duilian competition, Malaysia's Muhammad DANISH AIZAD, Shin peng SI, and Kai jie bryan TI trio demonstrated impeccable teamwork and outstanding skills, winning the gold medal with a score of 9.593, emphasizing the importance of teamwork. The Philippines and Hong Kong clinched silver and bronze respectively. Meanwhile, in the Women's Duilian, China's Yilin WANG and Shiyu ZUO duo shone brightly, winning gold with their impeccable coordination and exquisite skills, earning rave reviews from the crowd. Hong Kong and Iran placed second and third, respectively.
The final day of Sanshou featured 18 thrilling finals, pushing the competition to new heights. Ultimately, China emerged victorious with seven gold, one silver, and three bronze medals, totaling 11 medals and demonstrating its formidable strength. Iran closely trailed behind with five gold, three silver, and three bronze medals, also totaling 11. Vietnam secured third place with three gold, one silver, and six bronze medals, totaling 10. Kazakhstan, India, and the Philippines also performed admirably, ranking fourth to sixth.
