In order to elect new group of officials and maintein the conduct of federation, the Congress of South Asian Wushu Federation, which has not been held since 2010, was held in this June in Sri Lanka.

The meeting was held on June 7, 2016 at 10 am to 12:30 pm at Hotel Global Towers in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with the attendence of representatives from Pakistan Wushu Federation, Wushu Federation of Maldives, Bangladesh Wushu Association, Nepal Wushu Association and Wushu Federation of Sri Lanka.

Finally, Mr. Malik Iftikhar Ahmed and Mr. Manel Dharmakeerthie was elected unanimously as the President and Secretary General of SAWUF respectively.
